04 — Capability
Editorial
Publications, lookbooks, campaigns and printed matter — long-form design for readers, collectors and keeps.
What it entails
Editorial design is pacing: knowing when a story needs a full-bleed image, a quiet margin or twelve pages of uninterrupted text. The studio designs books, annuals, lookbooks and campaign print — from flatplan to press check.
Paper, binding and print finishes are specified as part of the design, not after it. The object in the reader's hands is the deliverable.
What's included
- Concept & flatplan — the issue's architecture, paced story by story.
- Grid & typography — systems flexible enough for essays, interviews and image stories.
- Image direction — commissioning, editing and sequencing photography.
- Print production — stock, finishes, binding and press-side proofing.
- Digital editions — faithful screen versions where the publication needs them.
